Dear Dan,

Now this is the kind of math "text" I like! It is the best explanation of logarithms I've seen and I'm definitely circulating among the others in my department. It is very concrete and doesn't leave 'holes' to be filled in or guessed. Thank you for making this available. I much appreciate the time and effort you have put into this.

Dear Dan,

I'm a student at Technological University in Stockholm enrolled in real estate
management program. I really would love to thank you for such an amazing explanation
of logarithms! Your book was a lifesaver for me, especially when you explained usage of
natural logarithms when calculating continuously compounded returns. Now it's all clear!

Best regards,

Maria Trimailova

Hi Dan,

I rec'd my books and your letter with the corrections (also got the email - thanks). I made
the corrections. 1 book is on my shelf, one on the dept. head's shelf, and we are routing
the third book so everyone in the dept. is aware of it. Already, we have people "fighting"
over who gets it first. Everyone loves it. Collectively, we want to thank and commend
you, as a classroom teacher, for taking on this monumental task and for producing such a
high quality product. The dept. is delighted that I pursued the link in the Math Forum
Newsletter and discovered this gem.

Again, for myself and our entire dept. - Thanks! (and good luck with future distribution!)

Dan -

You had shared your logarithm handbook with me at Stacey Armstrong's CS session in June. I wanted to let you know I very much enjoyed it, and found several items of interest that I had either forgotten or never been taught at all. I would like to encourage you to publish it in some fashion or otherwise make it available. There are many important connections to be made, and your work does a good job of clearly explaining the why's that so many textbooks leave out.

Many Thanks,
